Embroidery Hoop Wreath – DIY Tutorial

Making a wreath can be challenging for some and easy for others. How about a wreath that’s easy and fun to make for all?

Embroidery hoops are hot this winter for many reason, easy to make and they look like you spent a fortune making them.

Here is your supply list

Start by typing up some text in Silhouette Cameo… I am using Mystical Woods font for this example.

Next WELD your text in your Silhouette Software – RIGHT CLICK > WELD

Grouping the text will make it all one compound path to move around your software in one piece.

Measure your area to determine the size of your cut out HTV… my hoop is approx. 12″ I will adjust my text to 11″ at the widest point.

RIGHT CLICK > FLIP HORIZONTALLY > SEND

Adjust your software settings

  • Cut
  • Heat Transfer Vinyl, Smooth
  • Ratchet Blade 
  • Force 5 Speed 9
Finished cut and weeded design

Measure your fabric center the HTV and press

Hoop your fabric, flip over and hot glue to the back inside

Add some ribbon bells greenery anything you’d like to bling up your wreathe.
